Fakenham dream team combine for one runner on Friday

Razzle Dazzle 'Em leads the field in the 2m novice hurdle at Fakenham, 19/2/16

It’s another busy day of racing on Friday, with six meetings on the docket. Redcar, Haydock, Fakenham and Uttoxeter are the afternoon meetings, with Dundalk and Newcastle to keep us occupied in the evening. We’ll have horse racing tips for all the action, including a NAP of the Day.

While looking for a stat of the day for Friday’s action, I’ve ended up at Fakenham. Ciaran Gethings and Stuart Edmunds have been somewhat of a Fakenham dream team in recent years, boasting level stakes profit of £49.66 and £47.66 respectively. They team up on Friday for just one runner and they look to have standout claims; see all the details below!

2.48 Fakenham – Breeders’ Cup On Sky Sports Racing Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase

Just the three runners will contest this novices’ handicap chase and it’s hard not to be disappointed with the amount of small fields at present. Nevertheless, Go Millie Go should use the lack of competition to her advantage, as she makes her chasing debut in the familiar colours of the Chicheley Partnership.

She’s a lightly-raced eight-year-old who ran just five times over hurdles last season, winning a pair of races in maiden and novice company. She was aimed high after those successes, finishing second in a Listed race at Doncaster in March before a third in a Cheltenham race at the same level.

She makes her chasing debut today and she looks set to improve for the switch to this sphere. It’s also her handicap debut today and an opening rating of 124 looks very generous based on how high she rated over hurdles against her own sex. Receiving plenty of weight against a pair of male opponents, she can make the perfect start in this sphere under Ciaran Gethings.
