Our tipsters' strongest bets for this meeting

Kenwick Park Handicap Hurdle (Class 3)
Jersey Bean silk

Jersey Bean

Solid novice form last season, opening mark looks fair enough.

Winteringham Fields "Menu Surprise" Novices' Chase (Class 3)
Dr Des silk

Dr Des

139 rated hurdler who has some solid form to his name, open to improvement now chasing and he gets weight from his main rival.

Elixir Bathrooms Prelude Handicap Chase (Class 2)
Romain De Senam silk

Romain De Senam

Master Dee landed a valuable handicap chase at Kempton when last seen in February. He is respected here with ten pounds claimer Connor Brace booked to ride, but preference is for the Paul Nicholls trained ROMAIN DE SENAM. This six-year-old has form figures of 111 when racing in October, and he is now back racing from his last winning mark. The Unit was a winner at Newton Abbot last time out and that form has been franked since. He is feared most.

Tips for Market Rasen Races

Situated in the town of the same name in Lincolnshire, Market Rasen is a National Hunt only track with racing throughout the year with an extensive summer programme.

Course: It’s a sharp, right-handed oval with a circuit of a mile and a quarter. It tends to suit nippy horses for our tips and due to the turns doesn’t really suit big galloping types. There is a long run-in from the final flight so it’s not unusual for a horse to win with a late surge.

Feature Meeting: The Summer Plate meeting in July is the highlight in the warmer months over obstacles. Both the Summer Hurdle and Summer Plate are both Listed Handicaps that attract good horses which will go on to be competitive in the winter.
