Our tipsters' strongest bets for this meeting

sportnation.bet Take Advantage Nursery Handicap (Class 6)
Sunday Scholar silk

Sunday Scholar

The interesting contender in the race is SUNDAY SCHOLAR, who posted a good effort when fourth at Down Royal in Ireland for the Predergast yard. That’s a useful piece of form and he’s since joined a yard that does extremely well with recruits from other teams. He makes his handicap debut off a very useful mark and with the yard 7/34 in the past two weeks, he’s the obvious choice here.

sportnation.bet Rewards Program Novice Stakes (Class 5)

Ran out of steam late on at Newbury on debut but will be much sharper here and should improve massively.

redzonesports.bets NFL Experts Novice Stakes (Class 5)
Grandstand silk

Ran to a good level when a length behind Dirty Rascal at Windsor last time; that form is strong & has a better draw here; serious player once again.

sportnation.bet Home Of Rewards Handicap (Div I) (Class 6)

La Fortuna returned to winning ways at Chelmsford on Saturday and she is respected here under a six pounds penalty. Preference is for SKYVA though, who was a course and distance winner in November and should find this trip far more suitable than the five furlongs he raced over at Newcastle last time out. Running from what looks a workable handicap mark, he is backed to land the spoils today.

sportnation.bet Home Of Rewards Handicap (Div II) (Class 6)
Monumental Man silk

Monumental Man

The in-form quantity is MONUMENTAL MAN, who was only denied by half a length when bidding for a hat-trick at Chelmsford last time. As a horse who likes to go prominent, stall one is a blessing and with his current mark still more than feasible, he can add another win to his record. Castlerea Tess looks the biggest danger if managing to build on her return run from last month.

sportnation.bet UK Racing Specialist Handicap (Class 4)
Porchy Party silk

Porchy Party

Tom Dascombe is the leading trainer at Wolverhampton this year with 13 wins and an incredible level stakes profit of £112.22 from £1 stakes. He saddles PORCHY PARTY in this contest who won at Chester off 3 pounds higher last season, he shaped well over further here last time and this drop in trip should prove ideal given a likely strong pace. You’re Cool could go well back on the all-weather with Jason Watson taking the ride.

sportnation.bet Best Odds Guaranteed Novice Median Auction Stakes (Class 5)
Momentarily silk

Off the track 400 days but was 3rd behind Wild Illusion on debut who since went on two Group 1’s and the 2nd went on to land a Group 3.

sportnation.bet Download The iPhone App Handicap (Class 5)
Lexington Empire silk

Lexington Empire

LEXINGTON EMPIRE was a course and distance winner in July, and he was only narrowly beaten at Kempton last time out. He should appreciate the drop back to this trip today and can land this contest for the in-form David Lanigan yard. Catoca was a winner at Kempton last time out and should appreciate the extra yardage on offer here, he looks the strongest forecast option today.

Tips For Wolverhampton Races

Located 15 miles from Birmingham, Wolverhampton is one of the busiest racing tracks in the UK and Ireland.

Course: One mile in circumference and flat, it has left handed bends which makes it a different to the majority of other tracks in the UK and is always considered when selecting our Wolverhampton tips. Previous experience is a plus.

Draw Bias: Wolves is generally a very fair track with little evidence of draw bias. The one exception is a low draw tends to be preferable to a higher draw over five furlongs.

Surface: The Tapeta surface was laid in 2014, replacing the old fibresand surface. It has won much praise from jockeys and is used on the gallops by some major names including Godolphin. Experience on the surface is another plus which is considered when selecting our tips.

Feature Race:  The Lady Wulfruna Stakes is an All Weather Championship qualifier run in March over seven furlongs. The winner of this Listed class race goes on to compete on All Weather Finals Day at Lingfield a month later.
