Ninjago silk

Ninjago

Analysis

A step or two shy of six furlongs here in a race that seems sure to be run at a ferocious pace from the off which should suit NINJAGO who looked as if he would improve for the run when fifth at Wolverhampton on his return. Not beaten that far he can do a lot better now having run well on all three starts here in the past off far higher marks.

Hortzadar silk

Hortzadar

Analysis

David O’Meara’s HORTZADAR bolted up on his yard debut after arriving form France when showing enough speed to suggest this drop in trip will not be an issue. Well in under a penalty here and likely he will go up considerably more for his recent success once reassessed by the handicapper.

Muscika silk

Muscika

Analysis

David O’Meara is in the middle of a purple patch in recent days and will be hoping to see a winning return from Kyllachy gelding MUSCIKA. He progressed nicely all last season, likes the expected fast ground here and has won first time up before, and running in lesser company now we could well see another victory.

Redcar Flat Course

Tips for Redcar Races

Located by the coast in North East England, Redcar hosts a number of excellent races throughout the season on the Flat.

Course: A left handed oval totalling one mile, six furlongs, a two furlong chute allows for races up to one mile to be run on a straight course. Flat and level, our tips tend to find that the best horse often wins here with few hard luck stories.

Draw Bias: There is no clear evidence of draw bias to consider at Redcar, with most horses tacking into the middle of the course.

Feature Race: The Zetland Gold Cup and Guisborough Stakes are both excellent races, but the highlight of the season is the Two Year Old Trophy. A listed race run in October over six furlongs, there have been plenty of high class winners including Limato in 2014 who went on to win the July Cup at Newmarket in 2016.

We will have Redcar tips for every meeting, published the night before on our tips page and racecards page.
