Often it can pay to follow the early money. It doesn’t take much money the night before to shift a horse dramatically in price which is why we have waited until the following morning, as more money will be bet at this point in time and we can then take the gambles more seriously. We take a look at tonight’s horse racing market movers from Wolverhampton in more detail and be sure to take a look at our designated Wolverhampton racecourse page where you can find all of today’s tips.
5.05 – Kyllacky Warrior – 20/1 into 6/1
Looks extremely well treated here off a mark of 59 considering he was 4th and 3rd at Newcastle off marks of 67, beaten less than a length in one of those contests. He was out of his depth in a decent York handicap last seen but first-time eye-shields go on today and this is a big drop in class.
5.35 – Absolutio – 8/1 into 5/1
Won a competitive 13 runner handicap at this course over the extended 6f just over two weeks ago, keeping on well and toughing it out. This is a tougher race and this will be the first time he will run over the minimum which is pretty unusual. He looks more of a stayer if the form book is to be believed but the money is coming for him.
6.40 – Cupids Beau – 5/1 into 11/4
Very low mileage on the clock and has the scope to improve, returning to action with a narrow-margin defeat in a maiden race over course and distance. He had both Kingsholm and Bernard Spierpoint behind on that occasion and should be able to confirm the places with more improvement likely.
