3 must-read trends for Sunday’s Racing!

After a superlative day of racing on Saturday, we have four meetings to bring the curtain down on the week. Sunday’s action comes from Nottingham, Chester, Musselburgh and the Curragh.

The feature action comes from the Curragh, which hosts a pair of Group 3 contests. We’ll have horse racing tips for all four meetings, including plenty of multiples!

If you’re a trends man, we’ve gone digging for three must-read trends ones from Sunday’s cards, and they can be found below!

The action might be behind closed doors, but you don’t have to miss a thing with Virgin Bet! They’ll be streaming all the action, keep reading to find out how you can take advantage.

The Master of Musselburgh

4.35 MUS – Racecourse Live Streams On Racing TV Extra Handicap

It’s been a brilliant year at Musselburgh for Iain Jardine, who can boast a remarkable £43.70 profit from a 32% strike-rate. He sends six runners to the venue on Sunday, with his best chance looking to be Merricourt.

He’s not the most consistent of horses, but he took well to the first-time cheekpieces when scoring over course and distance two starts ago. He couldn’t back that up at Ayr since, but he had be forgiven the odd bad run.

Winning off eight pounds higher this time last year, he’s more than capable off his current rating. Returned to Musselburgh, there can be plenty of optimism of a good effort.

Chester is Balding’s Domain

4.45 CHE – Horseradish Handicap

Andrew Balding has made Chester his own in recent years. The Kingsclere based trainer has a 22% strike-rate at the venue from 185 runners, boasting a smart £36.42 profit to level stakes.

Edinburgh Castle looks the horse to beat in the finale, a 1m 6f handicap. He has a modest strike-rate but has been beaten narrowly in three recent starts. Staying on best of all at Leicester on his latest outing, he shaped as though he’d relish stepping back up in distance.

He’s run at two miles in the past, where he only weakened in the final furlong and Chester should play to all his strengths. He remains thoroughly unexposed and Oisin Murphy takes over the ride. The positives are there for all to see.

He’s a brilliant Ladd!

5.00 NOT – Star Sports £10K Showtime Guarantee Handicap

2019 was a very good year at Nottingham for Theodore Ladd. The three-pound claimer racked up an impressive £20.87 level stakes profit from seven winners at the venue, a 26% strike-rate. He has just one ride at Nottingham on Sunday, with that being Harbour Point.

Mick Appleby’s charge has been running fairly in recent starts without making an impact. Currently nine pounds below her opening rating, she does need a bit extra to be shedding her maiden tag.

That being said, Ladd’s three-pound claim is an obvious plus. She’s on a very dangerous mark based on the best of her form, beaten a head off three pounds higher back in June. If she can bounce back to that sort of form, she couldn’t be taken lightly at this lowly level.
