Showing a sharp turn of foot once Wayne Lordan asked him to go, he saw the 7f trip out well and looked very professional. Aidan O’Brien’s colt is likely to take a substantial step forward on just his second start and the yard’s recent record in this race is impressive.
It’s a relatively quick turnaround time from the Oaks earlier this month but that form could hold the key, with Legacy Link expected to come out on top. She showed a good attitude to win the Musidora at York on her first start of the season and clearly bumped into a special filly when second in the Oaks. A similar effort could well be enough here and this doesn’t look like the warmest Ribblesdale of all time.
Aidan O’Brien certainly knows what it takes to win this race and Scandinavia is well set to provide him with a record-extending 10th victory. He always shaped like a future Gold Cup horse last season and progressed well throughout the campaign. His most impressive performance came in the Goodwood Cup but he also landed the St Leger. Taking the same path to this race as Yeats and Kyprios, he has the potential to come out on top here.

Into The Light only made his debut in February and he managed to get off the mark at Lingfield, with the runner-up boosting the form by winning twice since. He bumped into a smart prospect when second under a penalty next time and the form of his narrow defeat on handicap debut looks very solid. Charlie Appleby’s three-year-old remains unexposed and the best is surely yet to come.

Aidan O’Brien has won this race three times in the last decade, most recently with Trinity College last year, and Endorsement is clearly the one to beat. His narrow defeat at the hands of Christmas Day in the Ballysax now looks like excellent form and he returned to winning ways with an utterly dominant display in a Leopardstown Listed contest last time out. Having proven himself at this level already, the others will need to improve in order to beat him.

Our accumulator tips (or “acca tips” for short) are a combination of a number of selections which all have to win for the bet to be settled as a winner. For example, if you back a fourfold accumulator, all four of your selections need to finish 1st. The odds of the accumulator are worked out by multiplying the odds of each leg together, meaning that you can win huge amounts of money from just a very small stake!
These examples show a £10 accumulator stake where each selection is just Evens (1/1):
4 selections: £160 returns
6 selections: £640 returns
8 selections: £2,560 returns
10 selections: £10,240 returns!
Adding just one more Evens selection to a ten-fold accumulator doubles the return to over £20,000 – the multiplication effect of the accumulator bet really increases the potential returns!
Our horse racing accumulator tips returns depend on the horse racing fixtures each day; we generally aim for odds of 7/1 to 20/1 for our win accumulator tips, and for around 100/1 for our mega acca tips. We find this gives us the best combination between confident selections and good value returns. Obviously, it is influenced by the racing and tips available; for example, if there is little racing on, we are unlikely to have a mega accumulator tip unless many of the races feature strong odds on favourites which our tipsters think are good bets.
Our betslip returns under the tip details the odds available for a number of leading bookmakers for our accumulator tips at the time the tip was posted. The same is true for the red odds box next to each horse’s name. We would always recommend backing our tips with the best odds available to maximise value.
As well as a our daily win treble or fourfold tips, we have a Lucky 15 which involves 4 selections. These tend to have slightly bigger odds for each individual leg than our accumulator tips so by backing them as a Lucky 15 you are guaranteed a decent return on your stake with just one winner. As mentioned already, our horse racing accumulator tips tend to be strong favourites. Rather than backing short priced favourites, we find there’s much more value in combining several favourites together to provide much bigger odds than a single would provide. As this betslip shows, short odds favourite combined together can give very profitable returns:

While we don’t recommend backing our acca tips each way due to the low returns if they all place, it is a commonly used tactic if you want to either back many legs (for example, a 10 fold £10 Each Way accumulator on Evens money returns £61.92 which is still a good return). In an Each Way accumulator bet, if just one horse fails to win, the win part of the accumulator bet is lost and only the place part can win. That means that 9 winners and one 2nd place will pay the same returns as 1 winner and nine 2nd places
