Tips for Sligo Races

Staging both Flat and National Hunt racing, Sligo is one of the quieter courses in Ireland with fixtures from May through to September. Evening racing is common so it’s popular with locals and tourists alike.

Course: A circuit of just over a mile, this right-handed track is sharp and undulating. There is a slight uphill finish but generally suits speed horses that are prominent racers for our tips under both codes.

Draw Bias: In the few six and a half furlong races at Sligo, it’s favourable for our tips to be drawn in the low numbered stalls.

Feature Meeting: The two day festival that takes place in August is when the course is at it’s busiest, attracting good crowds.
