Where to watch & live streaming horse racing this week

Newmarket 2000 Guineas

The highly anticipated return of horse racing in the UK is almost upon us, but where can you watch racing this week?

Where to watch racing this week?

The British Horseracing Authority announced on March 17th that all racing will be suspended effective March 18th, and with the government announcing that sport could return behind closed doors on June 1, racing is set to resume.

Racing is set to return with a bumper rescheduled programme, with an action-packed week starting with a 10-race card at Newcastle on Monday and culminating with the 2000 Guineas and the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket racecourse this weekend. So where can you watch all of the racing action this week?

Watch horse racing live on TV

You can watch horse racing this week on terrestrial TV, with the big-race action covered live on ITV and ITV4 each weekend. In addition to ITV’s weekend coverage, the big midweek action is also shown live. ITV’s coverage of racing is also set to return with a bang, with 21 races shown live between 5-7June, with highlights including the Coronation Cup, 2000 & 1000 Guineas live from Newmarket, Epsom Derby and Oaks Trials from Lingfield, Sagaro Stakes from Newcastle and the Brigadier Gerard Stakes from Haydock.

There are also two designated satellite channels in the UK, Sky Sports Racing (Sky 415/Virgin 535) and Racing TV (Sky 432/Freeview 231)

With Racing TV showing live action from 36 UK tracks and Sky Sports Racing showing live action from the remaining 25 UK racecourses, the action will be split between both channels in addition to the ITV coverage.
