Trainer stat angle at Brighton
Jamie Osborne’s profit to a £1 level stake when having one runner at a Flat meeting is a massive £115.29 and he will saddle Hello You Ten in the 1m nursery handicap at Brighton (2.40). Red-hot Classic-winning rider Saffie Osborne will take the ride on this low-mileage maiden who was a good third in a seller at Salisbury when last seen and has a nice mark now on handicap debut.
Easterby targets further Hamilton success
Trainer Tim Easterby has won the 5f handicap at Hamilton (4.38) three times in the last six years and will have a crack at the contest in 2026 with Vince L’Amour. The in-form trainer can not always be trusted to run his race but it was a good effort last time when sixth of 20 at Ayr earlier in the month and he is now 6lb below his last winning mark. He could be ready to strike.
Aidan O’Brien sends one runner to Down Royal
After a quiet enough spell given his very high standards, Aidan O’Brien is back in scintillating form and he will send one runner to Down Royal in the form of Monmouth, who will take his chance in the 7f maiden (3.09). The son of Kingman ran his best race from three outings last time when third in a 7f Limerick maiden in June, splitting subsequent winners and he is expected to improve again.
Colm Ryan’s first runner of the season
An under the radar trainer, Colm Ryan is a dab hand with what he has and his first runner of the season is Duce Bigalow in the 2m4f handicap hurdle at Roscommon (3.20). He bolted up on yard debut over 3m at Down Royal in April and could make every yard again here down in trip.
