Matt first went racing in February 1982 at just 3 months old. Attracted to the sport by Desert Orchid in the late 80's, a media degree started a path to horse racing journalism. Owner of many horses and greyhounds through the years, the latter has led to the formation of the myracing greyhound syndicate, a Greyhound Writers Association membership as well as appearances on Racing Post Greyhound TV.
Another competitive Saturday of ITV Racing provides us with a Tote Scoop 6 that is big on runners. A pair of big fields in competitive handicaps at York as well as the Cesarewitch Stakes at Newmarket will make this a fascinating week. Those sort of races are well worth adding something at a bigger price to try and remove a huge chunk of the pool in one hit.

Tote Scoop 6 Tips
- 2.00 – Legal Attack steps down in class on ground that he has already proven that he handles well. He bumped into a very smart filly in France last time out and shouldn’t find anything of her class in this Listed contest.
- 2.20 – One Ruler is well enough thought of to be sent off 5/4 favourite in a Listed race last time. The winner that day has won a Group 2 since to suggest he had an uphill task but he comes out of that race with plenty of credit.
- 2.35 – Johnny Drama might be one of those who will knock a fair chunk of tickets out as we get to the halfway point of the Scoop 6. He is a slightly frustrating type but is lower in the handicap than when running a huge race in this contest last year.
- 2.55 – Chindit is one of a few in here who have star potential and looks to have the tools to cope with the softer ground. He is stunningly bred and beat a very smart recruit last time out at Doncaster.
- 3.10 – Kynren is a regular in these big field handicaps. He ran a huge race on his first start after a wind op in the Ayr Gold Cup, coming to hand in the autumn in the past. That suggests that he can build on that now.
- 3.35 – Mondain looked well suited to this trip when trying it for the first time at Ayr last time. He represents a yard who have already won this hugely competitive race three times so they know exactly what is required.
