There are four meetings on Sunday, with York, Fontwell, Musselburgh and Ballinrobe all hosting cards. It’s a mixed day of action, with two flat and two jumps fixtures to look forward too.

We’ll have horse racing tips for all the action! If you’re looking for some adventurous prices, I’ve gone hunting for some big catches and can present to you Sunday’s Outsiders!

1.30 York – Archie Perkins (33/1)

Gaining his last victory over course and distance back in July 2019, Archie Perkins has a great chance in this handicap contest if putting his best foot forward. He was placed off this rating at Doncaster back in June before two lesser efforts. His latest run at Pontefract can be excused, as he didn’t stay twelve furlongs.

He’s a difficult horse to predict, but he’s on a workable rating and performs well at York more often than not. Faye McManoman takes off a very useful five pounds and the ground is falling into his favour. He can certainly out-run his odds at his best for Nigel Tinkler.

1.40 Fontwell – Building Bridges (16/1)

Showing ability in four hurdling starts, including a victory at Huntingdon, Building Bridges made a pleasing handicap debut when fourth at Uttoxeter two starts ago. He was unable to back that up at Southwell subsequently, but it transpired that he’d suffered a breathing problem.

That run can be excused as a result and he’s undergone wind surgery since that effort. He was steadily progressing prior to that excusable effort and remains thoroughly unexposed. The best should be yet to come and with his breathing problem presumably fixed, he’s got obvious claims for Stuart Edmunds.

2.55 Musselburgh – Maybellene (40/1)

She’s yet to fire in 2020, but Maybellene has seen the racecourse just twice thus far. Her form in 2019 had some very solid results and she deserves to break her maiden sooner than later.

She was beaten less than a length off a ten-pound higher mark at Catterick last September and was also placed over course and distance off the same rating. Her two runs this term have been a long way below that level, but she should be just right in terms of fitness now.

Harrison Shaw claims a valuable three pounds and dropped four pounds since her most recent run at Catterick. A return to better ground will help matters and there is plenty of reasons to be positive about her chances.
