What are Market Movers?

The daily market movers are the best backed horses of the day. We study the markets extensively and point our followers in the right direction. Form is a very important tool when studying a horse race but more times than not, the money can be more telling. For instance, if the horse with the best form in the race has drifted from 6/4 out to 4/1, immediately the market is telling us that there is a huge lack of support for this horse for whatever reason. If the second favourite has moved from 4/1 into 6/4 in the same race, this tells us that horse has seen a flurry of support and a lot of people have placed their hard earned cash.

So, why is the money important? If you are a normal every day punter and 90% of us are, we don’t have the inside knowledge that some trainers, owners and others in the racing world may have. If a trainer has a horse who has improved significantly at home over the last few weeks, only he will know that. Sometimes, we see market moves on horses that seem to have no hope if you study the form book. The money is not always right but it can be an extremely useful guide and is an important factor when you are searching for your bet on a race. If the form and money matches on a particular horse, this can be an extremely positive sign.
