The racing on Tuesday comes from five venues, with Leicester, Punchestown, Hereford and Huntingdon making up the afternoon action. Newcastle takes over in the evening and we’ll have horse racing tips for all five meetings. That includes a NAP of the Day and Lucky 15 tips!
One trainer who will be raring to go on Tuesday is Mick Appleby, who has a remarkable record at Leicester in 2021. He’s sent 40 runners to the venue in 2021 and five winners have returned a huge profit of £124 to level stakes. That means his winners have been at huge prices and he has plenty of each-way chances on Tuesday.
A 50p each-way Lucky 15 of his chances could pay £652,640 and you can find all our analysis below.
Eyes will be drawn to Akhu Najla, who cost 2,700,000gns as a yearling, but Mega Marvel is bred to precocious. A son of Equiano, his Dam was the prolific Megaleka, and his pedigree is full of speed. The lack of stamina is a worry starting out over seven furlongs, but with three places on offer, he could blaze a trail into the places under Theodore Ladd.
Just thirty minutes later, the same connections run Bond Boy, another son of Equiano. His Dam, Poppy Bond, was a winner as a juvenile and is related to the fairly useful Lady Avalesa. Although he’s also bred for speed, seven furlongs looks more manageable for him compared to Mega Marvel, and it would be foolish to dismiss him for each-way terms.
He’s won just one of his twelve starts, but Asad arrives on the back of some solid form. He was a close fourth in a Class 2 event at Chelmsford two starts ago and filled out second when battling on bravely at Ayr last time. Given the fast pace he set, the fact he was battling back on the line is very encouraging. His mark has been left unchanged and he’s unlikely to be far away off a featherweight.
The final race sees Mac’s Girl bid to make it second time lucky. A daughter of Buratino, she was sent off 20-1 on debut, showing plenty of inexperience on her way to sixth. She’s entitled to take a big step forward from that and the switch to the turf could work the oracle for this filly. With natural improvement, she could easily play an each-way role.
