With a racing season from October through to June, it hosts 14 Grade 1 races throughout the year and attracts the best of the best jump horses both from Ireland and the UK. It also has the unique ‘Banks’ track for Cross Country races, the only one of it’s kind in Ireland. Feature Races: We have Punchestown tips for all the major races at Punchestown, including for the five-day festival in April, which is showered in quality. The Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle in January is always a race to watch closely with horses such as Vautour, Douvan and Min claiming it in recent years. The Morgiana Hurdle in November is a key trial for the Cheltenham Festival with Hurricane Fly, Nichols Canyon and Faugheen on the role of honour. Lastly, the John Durkan in December has been used as a stepping stone by Don Cossack, Djakadam and Sizing John in the past.
