Where’s the money going? Evening market movers from Sligo and Lingfield

Alrajaa and Jim Crowley land a Class 2 Handicap at Lingfield

Often it can pay to follow the early money. It doesn’t take much money the night before to shift a horse dramatically in price which is why we have waited until the following morning, as more money will be bet at this point in time and we can then take the gambles more seriously. We take a look at tonight’s horse racing market movers from Sligo and Lingfield.

4.05 Lingfield – Shine That Light
Market Move: 5/1 > 7/2

Richard Hughes has struck form after a bit of a cold spell and his runner here didn’t like the blinkers at Chepstow when last seen. He posted a couple of solid placed efforts on the All-Weather prior and is interesting now handicapping.

4.35 Lingfield – Ahorsecalledwanda
Market Move: 11/1 > 6/1

Course and distance winner in February, scooting home by five lengths. Ran a creditable fifth at Newmarket two weeks ago and the booking of William Buick is a plus. Cheekpieces are put on first time.

6.05 Lingfield – Summit Fever
Market Move: 8/1 > 5/1

He caught the eye at Catterick when last seen on just his second start running on into 4th. He is a half-brother to the very smart sprinter Yafta should go close with further progress expected with Oisin Murphy booked.

6.35 Lingfield – Dover Light
Market Move: 11/1 > 9/1

Course winner here in June which is a big box ticked. He ran a solid fifth at Windsor when last seen and didn’t get a clear run. Cheekpieces on for the first time here and he should go well again.

7.20 Sligo – Petite Dame
Market Move: 14/1 > 5/1

A cheap purchase, €1,500 three-year-old Shantou filly. The dam was a 2m6f winner over fences. Wears a hood for the first time and the Queally’s know how to ready one for a bumper so interesting gamble.
