Newmarket Cambridgeshire Meeting Day 2: Friday Preview, Tips and Free Bets

The Newmarket Cambridge Meeting got started on September 24th, and Day 2 is headlined by the Group 2 Shadwell Joel Stakes. Just like Royal Ascot and other recent festivals, there will be no spectators on course, but there are still plenty of ways to get involved.

There are seven races on the second day of the Newmarket Cambridgeshire Meeting, with four of those races being broadcast on ITV Racing. It looks like it could be a great day for the blue colours of Godolphin who have several strong chances lined up again.

Newmarket Day 2 Tips

There are few who can improve a horse with age like Roger Varian can and Fooraat is still very lightly raced. We have yet to see the best of this horse who is very lightly raced and Buick gets the ride.

Twice a winner in Listed grade, Franconia was clearly amiss when running no race at all in the Yorkshire Oaks. That clearly wasn’t her true running and she can get back on track down in class.

Great things are expected for Monday, who is Group 1 winner Ballydoyle’s first offspring, exciting times for Ballydoyle. She can be expected to improve from her Listed victory at Leopardstown.

Kameko has been a bit of a disappointment since winning the Guineas but should find this much easier. However, Benbatl was a runaway winner of this race last year and has been targeted at it again.
