Long distance travellers to keep onside for Tuesday’s racing

It is always interesting when a trainer travels hundreds of miles to run a horse at a meeting. Not only can it be very expensive for connections to do so, but in this pandemic we are in it might be of even more interest considering the safety loopholes that have to be adhered to. Below we list some of the long distance travellers for Tuesday’s horse racing.

Note: There may be more long distance travellers throughout the UK on Tuesday but we have picked out what we feel is the best four to keep an eye on. Best of luck!

13:45 Catterick – Iris Dancer (279 miles)

Sent off a 20/1 on debut, she finished sixth of the ten runners at York and with that run under her belt, she is open to a lot of progress. Ralph Beckett has had a great season and does well with his juveniles.

14:30 Beverley – Pull Harder Con (242 miles)

Very progressive for the Brisland yard and has improved considerably since being switched to turf, winning at both Thirsk and Bath in July. He is only up 2lb his latest success but he does have a very wide draw to contend with.

14:45 Catterick – Hey Gracie (279 miles)

Another of the Ralph Beckett-trained runners to be sent on the long journey to Catterick. She was a winner at Kempton last month and although she looks high enough in the weights, she is in great hands.

16:30 Beverley – Hua Mulan (239 miles)

Never-dangerous sixth at Musselburgh on comeback run but that was her first run since October so she was entitled to need it. Step up in trip should suit but might want the ground a bit softer than this.
