Glorious Goodwood Day 3: Thursday Preview, Tips and Free Bets

Glorious Goodwood continues on July 30th, with Day 3 headlined by the Group 1 Nassau Stakes, a race part of the British Champions Series. Just like Royal Ascot, there will be no spectators on course, but there is still plenty of ways to get involved.

There are eight races on the first day of Glorious Goodwood, with five of those races being broadcast on ITV Racing. Deirdre bids to go back to back in the Nassau Stakes for Japan in the feature race. While English King tries to bounce back from his Derby run in the Gordon Stakes in the race prior. In total, there are three pattern races on Tuesday, with a Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3 contest.

Glorious Goodwood Day 3 Tips

Another cracking handicap to start the ITV coverage at 1.45pm. Zabeel Champion has been in flying form of late and for the Mark Johnston yard who always do well at this meeting, he gets the nod.

Yazaman has chased home the smart Tactical at both Royal Ascot and the Newmarket July meeting. Without that runner to take on, he can get the job done in the Richmond Stakes at 2.15pm.

The Derby was a bit of a write off for the majority of participants. One who did good work late was English King who has shown form on a quirky turf course at Lingfield. A more conventional race can see him make amends.

The feature is the Nassau Stakes at 3.15pm. Ryan Moore has chosen to ride the French Oaks heroine Fancy Blue for Donnacha O’Brien. She has taken a fair step forward with each start but has only had four starts in her life and should have plenty more to come.
