Adrian Wall’s eight horses to follow across the cards in England on Tuesday 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Adrian Wall has studied all of the cards in Britain on Tuesday and has come up with eight selections for Lingfield, Southwell and Newcastle. Let’s hope he has a good day at the office and best of luck if you follow.

12.25 Southwell

Generous Day ran a shocker over fences at Kempton this month but it took him a while to get going last season and once he was dropped back into a 0-120 last term he won. He drops from a 0-130 into 0-120 company here and will have the services of Paddy Brennan who was the pilot for his last win. He bolted up at Kempton from 9lb higher this time two years ago so a revival could be on the cards.

12.55 Southwell

Olly Murphy has hit a purple patch with four winners from his last nine runners and is operating at 22 per cent this season so a big run should be on the cards for Alpha Carinae. The former point winner won her bumper at Newcastle in January 2020 before going on to win on hurdling bow at Perth. She was just in need of the run when a well beaten off third of five at Kempton this month on chasing bow but should strip much fitter now and she will stay.

1.10 Lingfield

The well-bred son of Dark Angel, Kaasirr, should be more than good enough to take down this maiden on what will be his third career start. He improved on his debut run at Haydock to go close at Kempton earlier this month. Given a positive ride by Jack Mitchell, he gave the long odds-on favourite Al Nafir a proper scare and that could work out to be top form. The one to beat here.

1.25 Southwell

Jack Wildman has an incredible 10lb claim, which is some asset to have for a rider with such quality. He gave Light N Strike a beautiful ride when running out a 19 length winner at Plumpton this month. That was just his second start over fences so there should be much more to come even if he is up in class with an 8lb penalty to shoulder.

1.45 Lingfield

Benny And The Jets won off the back of a six month absence in 2020 so fitness shouldn’t be a concern after a year on the sidelines. His overall form in November reads 2322 so he always runs well this time of year and this is one of the easier handicaps he will run in on his return with the booking of Marquand a big plus.

2.15 Lingfield

Caribou won over 6f twice on heavy ground last year and is now 1lb lower on the all-weather so is well treated if he can find his best foot. The son of Adaay has largely struggled this year, making little impression over a mile at Chelmsford this month when last seen. It looks like he needs a step up in trip so this first crack at 1m2f could be just what the doctor ordered.

6.45 Newcastle

Masquerading looked like a horse in need of a step up in trip when slightly outpaced at Doncaster and Redcar over 6f in August and September but a very stiff 6f like the one here at Newcastle could definitely suit in a pretty large field. She was very well backed last time out at Redcar and drops down into Class 6 company on handicap debut off the back of a wind operation. She could be very well treated in this sphere.

7.15 Newcastle

Andrew Balding has a 26 per cent strike-rate at Newcastle this season and his Jabbar is very interesting in the finale. The son of Galileo Gold showed slight improvement when sixth at Wolverhampton on his third career start but always looked the type to do better once switched to handicaps and off what is a reasonable mark we should see a big run now.
