Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds at York on Wednesday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.
This is a bit of a leap of faith but Tim Easterby’s Hyperfocus looks way too big in the betting if he can put his best foot forward. He is shoving on in years but he showed he still had ability when fourth in a course and distance handicap in October, and he is now 3lb lower in the weights. He needed his reappearance run at Ripon last month but he won on his second start of the year in 2023 and it would be no surprise to see a big market move on this runner.
The Andrew Balding yard is in fine fettle at present and it’s a surprise to see the improving Fivethousandtoone such a big price for the Clipper Stakes. This boy won at Kempton in February and followed up in the All-Weather Sprint Championships at Newcastle when last seen, beating subsequent winner Misty Grey. A strong traveller, he will come late and fast.
Ralph Beckett saddles two in the Group 3 Musidora, but it’s his outsider La Pasionaria who might surprise here. The filly won o her debut at Salisbury over a mile in the mud last October, before disappointing at Newmarket a month later. She’s bred to handle this ground and she’s not to be discounted on her return for a yard in good form.
