When are your Channel 4 racing tips updated?
Our Channel 4 tips are updated the day before Channel 4 racing takes place (so normally on a Friday) at 8pm. For any big meetings such as Cheltenham Festival you can find tips well in advance – just go to All Tips and click on the meeting you want to find tips for.
How do I bet the Channel 4 racing tips?
We’d recommend getting a Betfair account to back our Channel 4 racing tips for three reasons.
- You can back our tips in a single click by either clicking on the odds of the horse or on the “Back this tip here” button for multiple bets.
- You’ll get a free bet for every 3/1+ winner you back in a Channel 4 race, plus Best Odds Guaranteed and regular price boosts for all players.
- Finally, if you sign up here you’ll get a £30 free bet when you bet just £10 – available for all new players.
What are the Morning Line Tips?
The Morning Line tips are announced on the Channel 4 ‘Morning Line’ show at around 9.45am every morning. You can find the Morning Line tips on the Channel 4 website every day as well as on our Twitter Account.
We’d recommend following our tips over the Morning Line tips – while there’s nothing wrong with listening to a trainer’s opinions on his horse, don’t forget they’re often biased towards their own horse winning, while any tips from Channel 4 pundits will often be well backed immediately meaning our thoroughly researched tips offer much better value and therefore better returns.
What is the Channel 4 Racing Schedule?
The Channel 4 racing schedule for the rest of the jumps season is as follows:
Friday 25th March – Lingfield & Musselburgh
Saturday 26th March – Haydock, Kempton & Dubai World Cup night
Saturday 2nd April – Doncaster & Kempton
Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th April – Aintree Grand National Festival
Saturday 16th April – Ayr & Newbury
Friday 22nd April – Sandown
Friday 23rd April – Sandown, Haydock & Ripon
Channel 4 coverage continues with highlights over summer including the 1,000 Guineas, Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood, the York Ebor Festival, the Doncaster St Leger Festival, Ac Day and British Champions Day.
Coverage is always subject to change – not so much in summer, but there will be a number of meetings rescheduled in winter due to the British weather.
When does ITV Racing coverage begin?
Following Channel 4’s decision to end their deal for horse racing coverage early, the BHA has signed a landmark deal with ITV – to begin on Sunday 1st January, 2017.
It remains to be seen who will present the ITV coverage, but it is known that that only the top races and Festivals will be shown on ITV1, with the remaining races set to be on ITV4 – similar to their old setup with the Champions League and the Europa League. Don’t worry though, our racing tips for Channel 4 will be replaced by ITV racing tips come 2017!
