Having developed an interest in racing whilst in college some years ago, James has worked in many areas of the industry, including a stint hiding his face on radio! From 2008 until 2017, he ran a successful tipping service and has had shares in numerous horses including the wonderful Fast Shot. Unsurprisingly given some of the horses he has bought shares in, his punting passions lie in sprint handicaps on both the turf and All-Weather surfaces!

Bobo Mac was a 9/1 winner for the column yesterday. View today’s Value Bets below.

12:30 Newcastle – Letemgo – 1pt @ 11/1

In a race containing nothing that’s even close to a solid proposition, LETEMGO could make it tenth time lucky over fences. The seven-time hurdles winner was somewhat disappointing back over the larger obstacles a week ago but I’m not sure Hexham is his track and this test, in a bigger field, may prove a help. The ground won’t be an issue, in fact the deeper the better, and he had shaped well when hurdling at Ayr last month on his first start after a wind-op. At any double-figured price, I’ll take a punt on him.

12:50 Southwell – Babytaggle – 1pt @ 6/1

BABYTAGGLE is another trying to get off the mark after nine chase outings and he yet to win in any code under rules. However, he was far from disgraced when runner-up to Alltimegold in May and that form has taken a boost since with the winner subsequently scoring three times. It’s nothing to get too excited by but in what is a really weak looking affair, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him break the losing sequence and jumping up in trip on soft ground will do his chances no harm either.
