Race-By-Race Tips For A Bumper ITV Saturday!

Although the Irish Derby will be taking center stage on Saturday, there is plenty of fantastic action on this side of the Irish Sea, with ITV showing all of the best British action on a bumper Saturday.

The big betting race of the day is the Northumberland Plate, a two-mile handicap that always is hugely competitive and we have an enormous 40/1 tip for you to get stuck into! Newcastle aside, there is pattern action aplenty at Newmarket.

ITV Racing Tips – Race By Race

1.50 Newcastle – Brando at 5/1

Popular eight-year-old who was beaten a neck in a Group 1 at Deauville last summer. Will have needed the run on return and his All-Weather debut could produce desired results.

2.05 Newmarket – Boccaccio at 11/8

Unbeaten in two starts as a two-year-old, including an impressive success at Kempton under a penalty. Looks exciting and this opening handicap mark is more than fair.

2.25 Newcastle – Encore D’Or at 20/1

Currently nineteen pounds below his last winning mark, gaining that success over course and distance in 2019. Has shaped well on both starts this term and is due his turn after some near misses last season.

2.40 Newmarket – Mubtasim at 9/2

Went very close in a Meydan Group 2 back in January and went down by a head at the Saudi Cup meeting when last seen in February. Has course and distance form and looks like the one to beat.

3.00 Newcastle – Aloe Vera at 6/4

Unbeaten in a pair of starts last term, including an impressive Listed contest at Goodwood. Should have plenty more to offer and sets the standards on ratings.

3.15 Newmarket – Volkan Star at 11/8

Impressive winner at Goodwood on his second career start before a fair run at Group 3 level on his final two-year-old start. Reappeared with a very good second here at Listed level and remains unexposed at the distance.

3.35 Newcastle – Glencadam Glory at 40/1

Former John Gosden inmate who landed his sole All-Weather outing at Wolverhampton. Eye-catcher when fourth at Listed level on stable debut after a fourteen-month absence. Competitively handicapped and big run looks certain.
