Key trainer stats to follow for Friday’s ITV action + 389/1 Treble!

We can look forward to two days of fantastic racing from Sandown on Friday and Saturday! The feature contest is the Grade 1 Tingle Creek on Saturday, but Friday is also home to graded competition.

Live on ITV, the Grade 2 Winter Novices’ Hurdle is the feature. We’ll have ITV racing tips for all the action, including a trio of races from Exeter!

Trainer statistics are crucial to keep your eye on, as a stable in-form can reap plenty of rewards. Certain trainers will target specific venues too, and we’ve taken a deep dive into the trends for Friday’s ITV racing. You can find all the key trainer statistics below!

1.50 Sandown – Alnadam

It’s no surprise, but Dan Skelton has his string in incredible form of late. He’s fielded 11 winners from his last 43 runners and has a pair of strong chances at Sandown on Friday.

His best chance looks to be Alnadam, a useful hurdler who went close on seasonal/chasing debut last month. He bumped into a subsequent winner that day, with the pair pulling clear of the rest. That makes a four-pound rise look extremely lenient.

He’s entitled to have come on for the run and looks a useful prospect for top connections. There’s plenty to like about his chances as a result.

2.40 Exeter – Litterale Ci

With a 29% strike-rate from 70 runners at Exeter in the last five seasons, Harry Fry has been the man to follow. Those 20 winners have amassed a level stakes profit of £21.76 and the Dorset trainer has an excellent chance on Friday with Litterali Ci.

Ending last season on a high with a victory at Warwick, she was set a very tough task on seasonal debut. She returns to handicaps off a competitive rating, having placed off a two-pound higher mark over timber last season.

She’s run well on both her previous starts at Exeter and if building on that reappearance effort, she’s an obvious contender.

3.35 Sandown – Bit On The Side

Nigel Twiston-Davies has a stellar record at Sandown in the past five seasons. He’s sent 53 runners to the venue, with ten of them returning to the winner’s enclosure. That 19% strike-rate has yielded a level stakes return of £40.80 and Bit On The Side flies his flag in the 3.35, a 2m 4f handicap.

She has won two of her five starts over timber, gaining both those successes in novice events back in the summer months. She’s gone chasing in two subsequent assignments, not disgraced in that sphere.

She makes her handicap debut over hurdles today, second off this rating over fences at Fakenham two starts ago. Thoroughly unexposed overall and sitting on an achievable rating, she holds obvious claims for in-form connections.
