Jockey & trainer combination who are +£32.38 in 2022 team up with one on Monday 🤝

Wolverhampton Racecourse

2022 has started strongly for Tom Clover, 4/13 to begin the campaign. Jack Mitchell has also made a decent opening to the year, really hitting his stride this month, 6/19 so far in February. The pair are 3/6 when they team up this year for a level stakes profit of +£32.38. They combine for a single runner on Monday at Wolverhampton, a track where Clover is a perfect 2/2 in 2022.

Two afternoon cards at Plumpton (where a trainer with a 55% strike-rate sends 1 runner) and Catterick form the afternoon action and we will have horse racing tips for all three of the Monday cards.

5.00 Wolverhampton – Read Katie Walsh On Betway Handicap

Jack Mitchell was on Rockett Man for the first time in six months at Southwell last time out, the pair combining to grab third from a mark a pound higher than this. He was beaten four lengths but the winner has gone in again since from eight pounds higher so it looks a stronger run now than it did at the time.

He has placed over this course and distance once from three visits, fourth on another occasion. His best run around here came on his handicap debut last February from a mark twenty pounds higher than he currently runs off. Gelded after that, he has steadily gone backwards but last time was his second best RPR in his last six starts.

Twelve races into his career, he is not thoroughly exposed for a sprinter, dropping to this career low mark. Given the form that the combination of Tom Clover and Jack Mitchell are in, there is a hope that perhaps he can tap back into the best of his form here.
