Who Won For Us?

LEG #1 – Our NAP of the day IBRAZ (6/4) was the horse to get the Win Acca underway. After two good runs over 7 furlongs, the colt stepped up to a mile for the first time and that brought out the improvement we expected from our best bet of the day. He was always up near the pace under Jim Crowley and when asked for his effort he put the race to bed and got us the win!

LEG #2 – The John Gosden trained ALMOGHARED (EVENS) was the second leg of the bet. The colt showed plenty of promise on debut and that form had been boosted since so we weren’t surprised that he managed to get off the mark at the second attempt! He was slowly into stride and carried right at around 2f out but that didn’t stop him, he stayed on strongly in the closing stages and got up to run out a half a length winner.

LEG #3 – That took us onto the final leg and to Huntington for ROBERT’S STAR (EVENS). However any excitement was overshadowed due to what had happened in the previous race. Sadly The Blue Bomber suffered a fatal fall and jockey Fergus Gregory had to go to hospital due to his injuries. Everyone at myracing.com sends their condolences to connections of The Blue Bomber and we have everything crossed for Fergus Gregory making a speedy recovery. After a delay at the track due to the events in the 6.10pm, the 6.40pm got underway a good deal past the advertised off time. Robert’s Star made light work of the other three runners in the end – travelling well, jumping soundly & then pulling away to get us the win and land the 9/1 Acca!
