73/1 Mega Acca LANDED!

Southwell Trainer wins

73/1 Mega Acca Landed!

It’s been a good month for the Accumulators here at myracing.com, with 24/1 & 9/1 winners earlier in the month before we doubled up last Monday – a 21/1 winner in the UK and a 17/1 Acca winner down under for our Australian picks! But Tuesday was a day to remember as we landed a 73/1 Mega Accumulator!

Who Won For Us?

Leg 1 – MORE THAN LIKELY (5/4) – With just the 4 rivals to contend with, Shane Kelly kept it simple aboard Richard Hughes’ filly. After an alert beginning the pair showed blistering early pace to control the contest from the front, the lead extended going into the final furlong and despite Miss Elsa closing, More Than Likely was always doing enough to gain her second course and distance victory.

Leg 2 – ON A MAY DAY (2/5) – Another comfortable victory for a filly at Brighton, this time for the combination of Mark Johnston and Franny Norton. Sent off the 1/3 favourite and 5lbs well in under a penalty, On A May Day won as she was entitled to. Pushed out in the closing stages to score by a cosy 2¾ lengths she continued her progression to win over course and distance for the second start in a row.

Leg 3 – ICONIC CHOICE (9/4) NAP – Prominent all the way, Iconic Choice was under pressure some way out and Be Like Me looked to be getting the better of her inside the final furlong. But her stamina kicked in under Richard Kingscote and she extended late in the day to win by a length and a half, making it 2 NAP winners out of 2 this week!

Leg 4 – DECISION TIME (9/4) – It pays to be prominent at Ballinrobe and Decision Time proved just why on Tuesday night, just 3lbs higher than for her win at Navan last month. Always travelling the best on the front end, she kicked away at the 2 furlong pole and continued to extend her advantage into the final furlong to assert her authority on the rest of the field.

Leg 5 – NESSUN DORMA (5/4) – Unexposed on the flat for Willie Mullins this was just his third start on the level and he made no mistake getting off the mark this time. Given a no nonsense ride by Champion Jockey Colin Keane, the pair put their rivals to the sword and had the race won inside the penultimate furlong, ultimately scoring by a cosy 3 lengths. 73/1 Mega Acca Landed!
