How we landed our Saturday Double!

Leg 1 – Mr Lupton the Richard Fahey trained Gelding was a clear pick for this race with the yard in great form, having landed us a NAP & more this week and under a strong Jack Garrity we knew our boy with solid course form would be bang there. That proved to be spot on, as the Elnadim Gelding was held up early on before being produced with a firm drive to take the lead a furlong out and repel Alpha Delphini and the slow-starting Muthmir. Cha-Ching leg 1 in the bag at 9/1!

Leg 2 – First Contact showed signs he was going to make into a useful Gelding with some progressive performances at the start of the year before finding it a bridge too far in the Britannia at Royal Ascot. Determined not to meet any trouble like last time, James Doyle guided his mount to the front at Newmarket and never looked back, keeping up the gallop strongly to win going away and land our 41/1 ITV Racing Each Way Double
