3 outsiders for Newbury’s Super Sprint on Sunday

Khaadem winning from Oxted in the Newbury Carnarvon Stakes

The Weatherbys Super Sprint is always a fascinating contest. It’s also one that in recent years hasn’t always gone to form. Winners at 28/1, 16/1, 14/1 and 12/1 in the last five years suggest it’s a race where looking for a big price is well worth a tickle. Myracing brings you three outsiders who look overpriced in Sunday’s contest.

Cirrus

Our tip for the race ran over seven furlongs last time out, travelling better than anything. Two furlongs out she looked like she was about to bolt up but faded into fourth. The drop back to this trip will help her strong travelling style and makes her very interesting at a big price.

Ocean Eyes

The Richard Spencer yard have been tipping away well in recent weeks. On both starts over six furlongs this filly has not looked to get home, especially on softer ground last time. She is well worth a try dropped to the minimum trip and nibbles in the market on Saturday afternoon add further intrigue.

Enduring

Solid debut behind The Lir Jet at Yarmouth, showing the benefit of that last time. A win over six furlongs at Kempton that effort, able to dictate his own fractions. Charlie Bishop got off him that day and said he’d be better taking a lead in a better race. He gets his wish now with this colt looking to have plenty of speed for the return to five furlongs.
