252/1 Racing Post Weekender Acca!

Supasundae wins the Punchestown Champion Hurdle

With Cheltenham in doubt thanks to the weather, we’ve taken a different angle with our horse racing tips from the Racing Post weekender this week and plucked out some other fancies from big race action on Saturday.

Luke Parkinson has cast an eye over this weekend’s edition and lined up selections from Lingfield and Punchestown in a juicy 252/1 accumulator.

Alrajaa (1:00 Lingfield)

Anthony Burke

Alrajaa holds solid credentials in the Bombardier Golden Beer Handicap over a mile.

His last three runs have all resulted in wins and, despite a seven-pound rise in the weights for the latest victory, he looked as if there was still plenty left in the locker.

He appears to be equally effective on any type of surface and granted a clear run can strike again.

Saldier (2:00 Punchestown)

Cathal Gahan

The Ricci silks could spring a surprise on Saturday when Willie Mullins runs Saldier against Klassical Dream in the Morgiana.

Mullins has only scratched the surface with Saldier and he has some nice pieces of form.

On his only start of last season at Naas in November, he was cantering all over Espoir D’Allen before coming to grief at the last. He injured himself then and was then given the season off.

That wasn’t the end of the world, however, as he’s a bull of a horse who will have strengthened in that time.

Scentasia (2:10 Lingfield)

Anthony Burke

John Gosden looks to have a strong hand in the Fillies Listed event and it may pay to side with the recent course winner Scentasia.

She was an impressive winner of a mile Listed event a few weeks back, staying on strongly giving the impression that the extra two furlongs that she gets here will not pose any problems.

Frankie Dettori is booked to ride which adds extra encouragement for backers.

Gifted Master (3:15 Lingfield)

Anthony Burke

It’s been a while since Gifted Master has got his head in front but looks to have been found the ideal opportunity in the Golden Rose Listed Stakes later on the card.

His latest effort behind War Glory over seven furlongs was a very decent effort and suggested that a win was around the corner.

The drop back to six furlongs here is an added plus and he is taken to land the spoils.
