Our sponsored card at Nottingham on Thursday promises to be an exciting, competitive affair, with seven races to get stuck into. We have runner by runner previews for every single race of the meeting; with all our betting tips to be found on our Nottingham Betting Tips page. You can also find some interesting statistics on successful Nottingham jockeys and trainers with our Nottingham Track Stats. Everyone loves a big-priced winner, so we’ve gone through the card to find two horses who should out-run their big odds at our sponsored meeting.
3.55pm, 1m Handicap – Whitkirk (22/1)
Considering that Whitkirk is a course and distance winner, Jedd O’Keeffe’s five-year-old looks a huge price in a race that won’t take much winning. He’s shaped well on his last two starts without scoring, paying for sitting close to a strong pace at Doncaster in June. This isn’t any more competitive and the handicapper has given him a real chance off two pounds lower. A return to this venue is positive and with the yard amongst the winners, he can surely out-run his odds.
5.35pm, 2m Handicap – Tingo In The Tale (33/1)
Although we are sweet on the chances of Praeceps in this contest for Sir Mark Prescott, Tony Forbes’ nine-year-old Tingo In The Tale looks massively overpriced to run a big race for the placings. A previous course winner, he’s not been disgraced in recent outings over a variety of trips. He returned to the flat on his latest outing when flying home for third over 1m 6f, beaten only two lengths. This is no tougher and stepping back up in trip is a positive. He’s now five pounds below his last winning mark and looks an enormous price to snatch a place.
