Nottingham Track Stats – August 2018

We have returned to Nottingham for another myracing sponsored meeting, with the venue playing host to seven competitive races. Set in the beautiful Colwick Park, it’s a ‘flat’ track which lacks any undulations; a four and a half furlong run-in giving horses plenty of time to find their stride. Jockeys To Follow

Jim Crowley – Hamdan Al Maktoum’s retained rider has really come alive in recent seasons and has an extremely good record at this venue. From twenty-three rides in 2018, ten returned winners, showing a very healthy profit of £17.10 to level stakes. A strike-rate of 43% is impressive and he holds a massive chance with Qutob in the opener, who was chinned on the line over course and distance prior.

Theodore Ladd – Not perhaps the name you’d expect to see, but Ladd has had a brilliant season at Nottingham. From a total of seven rides, three of them have returned winners, with his 43% strike-rate gaining a £7.00 profit to level stakes. With the advantage of his seven-pound claim, he’ll be hoping he can be successful on his two rides on the card!

Trainers To Follow

Richard Fahey – If you’d backed all of Richard Fahey’s twenty-eight runners at Nottingham this year, you’d be in a great profit of £17.08 thanks to his 18% strike-rate. He has four horses entered on our sponsored card, including the interesting Camber in the opener, who is bidding to back up a very promising debut.

Ian Williams – This year has been very successful for Ian Williams at Nottingham, with five of his eleven horses returning to the winner’s enclosure. A profit of £12.37 is very healthy and he saddles two on the card, both of which we’ve tipped! You can find them on our Nottingham Betting Tips!

Horses To Follow

Socialites Red 2.00pm – A three-time course winner, Socialites Red loves it here and has dropped to her last winning mark. That victory, of course, came over course and distance and she should make a bold bid for glory from the front, as is custom. The barrier for her is the draw, as she’s drawn widest of all.

Slunovrat 4.10pm – David Menuisier’s charge is bidding for a third course and distance victory, scoring the second of those two starts ago in softer ground. He certainly won’t want the ground to dry out and as long as the cut remains in the ground, he’s unlikely to be far away.
