2 Outsiders Who Could Make You Rich At Nottingham

Nottingham Racecourse

We return to Nottingham for another sponsored meeting at Colwick Park! A highly competitive card is in prospect, with a good mix of novice contests and handicaps to sink our teeth into. To get the low down on the key statistics for the venue, check out our Nottingham Track Stats page, where we have plenty of interesting facts on both trainers and jockeys! We have previews and tips for every race at the meeting too and they can be found on our Nottingham Betting Tips page. For those with a taste for bigger prices, we’ve gone through the card and found two horses who we believe can out-run their bigger odds!

2.00pm – Socialities Red (Best Priced 22/1)

A three-time course winner, Socialities Red loves it here at Nottingham and will be looking to add another notch on her belt. She’s fallen to her last winning mark and although we do fancy Cale Lane heavily to score for James Bethell, Scott Dixon’s charge should make a bold bid to make all despite a poor draw. Yesterday’s rain will certainly have helped too, so she’s fancied to cling on for a place late under Kieran O’Neill.

3.40pm – Shaji (Best Priced 12/1)

A 75,000gns purchase as a yearling, Exceed And Excel’s son Shaji shaped with plenty of promise when seventh on debut at Chelmsford. He showed up well for a long way before inexperience told late on, likely to have learned plenty from that experience. Brian Meehan’s horses tend to improve markedly from their first run to their second and given his astute pedigree, plenty more is expected today with Jim Crowley aboard once more.
