Royal Ascot was a terrific week of racing but the quality doesn’t end there, that’s for sure. Onto this week, we are treated to terrific action from Newcastle Racecourse, Newmarket Racecourse and the Curragh Racecourse, all live on ITV Racing.
Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their huge double-digit odds on Saturday. Best of luck if you follow him, and remember, always bet responsibly.
Anything William Buick rides at present deserves a second look and I feel his mount in this race is overpriced. Miska (14/1) made all when winning a Nottingham maiden 12 days ago, and if she can pinch a soft lead here she may well be hard to peg back. Buick is riding out of his skin and he should be able to get the fractions right.
Alan King’s Trueshan is going to be a popular bet despite the hefty weight but King’s other runner has a solid chance too. Rainbow Dreamer (12/1) was a disappointing fifth over this course and distance when last seen but interestingly has has wind surgery since. He disappointed in this race last year off 110 but is now 12lb lower so if he can recapture his form he is a danger to all.
On paper this looks like a match between Westover and Tuesday, but don’t dismiss French Claim (33/1) at a big price. He looked a good horse from the day he won his debut, overcoming a wide draw to win at Listowel. He then looked in need of a trip when fourth over 1m1f in the Eyrefield at Leopardstown last October. Strong in the betting, he bolted up over 1m2f on first run of the year at Cork, and although he disappointed behind Stone Age when last seen, he is worth another chance.
