Soft ground horses for Ffos Las make a 599-1 each-way treble

There are varying degrees of soft ground. Ffos Las is one of those tracks that when it gets deep, it is very hard work. We have found three at Ffos Las on Sunday afternoon who enjoy these conditions and combine for a 599/1 each-way treble. That is a best priced with William Hill at time of writing.

Just a single run for One True King over fences, at Perth in September. Although he is bred to get that two and a half mile trip, not for the first time, he didn’t look to stay there. This is back at the minimum trip of two miles which can help him, as well as being back on soft ground.

Two of his three wins have come on soft, with the pick of his RPR’s suggesting that this mark of 125 is going to be well within his capabilities. This is a decent contest for the grade but he has his conditions and at the prices should be well up to hitting the frame.

Winner of this race last season on soft ground was Seston Spirit, back for another crack in 2021. He is up thirteen pounds for this next attempt which is going to make things tougher but being proven on this ground at Ffos Las is a big plus for him at the price.

That came first time up last season as he is now so fresh is clearly no concern. He followed up over fences at Plumpton, also on soft ground so these are very much his conditions. Five of his six career wins have come between early-November and early-January so this is the time of year to catch him.

Soft ground time of year = Venetia Williams dominating! Desque De L’Isle opens up his campaign for Williams in a weak enough looking contest to close out the Ffos Las card. The winner of his first two starts last autumn, fresh and this time of year could be the time to catch him.

He has shown all his form on soft ground, those two wins coming at Lingfield. That is another track where it gets properly soft.  Just four pounds above his last win, he should be capable from this mark.
