Dundalk Tips: Adrian Wall fancies strong traveller to win dropped back in trip

Simsir winning at Dundalk

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly Irish View piece. He has picked out three horses that he feels will run very well, or could even win at Dundalk on Wednesday. Dundalk is a stiff course that takes a bit of getting so it typically can pay to follow a horse that stays a bit further. It is a hard place to win at from the front so look for a horse that sits in behind the pace. Let us take a look at those three horses more closely.

4.00 Dundalk

Satin Snake is a strong travelling sort who keeps running well without crossing the line in front, most recently a solid third here at Dundalk over the stiff 7f. The drop back in trip will suit and although the draw could have been kinder, expect Joey Sheridan to play his hand late and pick off those at the front who went off too hard.

4.30 Dundalk

Jake Coen is another very promising young claimer on the up and his four pound claim will prove to be very valuable in this apprentice maiden. Collective Power remains a maiden after 10 runs on the Flat but sets a solid standard. The Slade Power gelding has been beaten two and a half lengths or less in each of his last three runs at Dundalk and this looks like an easier assignment than his latest race.

5.00 Dundalk

The son of Gleneagles, Timourid, bolted up in a claimer here last week for Denis Hogan and has subsequently changed hands. Now with James McAuley, the surprise 28-1 winner on the day improved massively and if he arrives here in the same sort of form he will take all the beating back in a handicap.
