The All-Weather Angle – Four Sand Specialists For Tonight’s Action!

Last week’s All-Weather Angle produced two winners priced at 6/5 and 2/1 respectively, plus a 9/1 each-way third, from four selections.

We once again have three meetings on the all-weather today, with Dundalk, Kempton and Wolverhampton each hosting a bumper eight-race card. For our tipsters’ expert selections at those meetings, and the remaining action in prospect this afternoon, check out our free horse racing tips.

Like last week, we have identified four horses below that are specialists on artificial surfaces – so could be ones to keep on the right side of today.

Medici Moon – 4.50 Wolverhampton

The first race on Wolverhampton’s card is the Bombardier ‘March To Your Own Drum’ Handicap – which is run over an extended mile.

Trainer Richard Price currently has his string in good order, and he sends over Medici Moon from his Herefordshire base.

This five-year-old has a 20/1 win and two places to his name from three starts at Wolverhampton – so this venue clearly suits – and he finished a fine third in what looked a stronger race at Kempton last time out.

Laubali – 6.25 Wolverhampton

Although his recent performances have not been the most appealing, when delving deeper into the form of David O’Meara’s Laubali, his claims in the Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap become clearer.

This son of Kyllachy has gained all three career wins in five-furlong handicaps at Wolverhampton – the most recent of those coming at odds of 14/1.

He is now back running off that last winning mark and will find this easier than some of his recent assignments.

Lancelot Du Lac – 6.40 Kempton

Ten horses go to post here for the 32 Red Handicap, which is a Class 2 sprint run over a distance of six furlongs.

Dean Ivory won the preceding renewal of the contest with Eljaddaaf, and his sole representative this year is the admirable veteran Lancelot Du Lac.

Seemingly a better horse on synthetics than he is on the turf, Adam Kirby’s mount has eye-catching form figures of 15311 at Kempton, and this handicap mark is far from beyond him on his best form.

Puds – 6.55 Wolverhampton

A real speed test in prospect in the five-furlong Betway Handicap, where Richard Hughes’ Puds appears to hold solid claims.

This filly by Bated Breath has notable form figures of 2130122 on the all-weather, with her only poor run coming on Southwell’s Fibresand surface – which clearly didn’t suit.

A close second at odds of 18/1 on her only previous course run, she arrives here on the back of what looked a career-best performance in a Swedish Listed race, and everything looks set for a big performance now returned to handicap company.
