'A bog wouldn't be too soft' - Three heavy ground horses at Haydock on Wednesday

IN SUMMARY: Black Corton is the highest rated of these and won a Grade 1 on his latest start, having to concede five pounds to his rivals. He’s clearly a class act though and has to be respected, but preference is for MOUNT MEWS. He was a Grade 2 winner over timber and ran a cracker on only his second chasing start last time. Some slow jumps ultimately cost him that day but he will have learned plenty from that run against a useful rival. He should have far more to offer in this sphere and is completely unexposed at this trip, which will make him tough to catch.
