Punchestown Champion Hurdle Tips & Betting Preview

Samcro has blitzed the opposition in every hurdle start so far. The form of his Ballymore Novice Hurdle win has worked out very well with the second and third placed horses both winning Grade 1 races since. He is out of novices’ company for the first time today though and is dropping back to the minimum trip which is not sure to suit him. Willie Mullins has five of the eight entries here and has won this race seven times in the last ten years, four times with the mighty Hurricane Fly. He is backed to continue his fine record in this race with the high-class WICKLOW BRAVE who is one of few horses to win a Grade 1 over jumps and a Group 1 on the Flat. His recent effort in the Champion Hurdle should have put him spot on for this, and he has strong claims of gaining back to back wins in this race today.
