Having developed an interest in racing whilst in college some years ago, James has worked in many areas of the industry, including a stint hiding his face on radio! From 2008 until 2017, he ran a successful tipping service and has had shares in numerous horses including the wonderful Fast Shot. Unsurprisingly given some of the horses he has bought shares in, his punting passions lie in sprint handicaps on both the turf and All-Weather surfaces!

Horse Racing tipster James Boyle has two Value Bets for today’s action.

5:10 Kempton – Fronsac – 1pt win @ 10/1

Being by Frankel out of a formerly 110-rated mare, FRONSAC has been a disappointment but he could be set for a big run today. He certainly shaped well over the mile around here on his penultimate start, sent for home too far out and predictably weakening late on. That added some hope for a revival and he wasn’t disgraced on his sole start since where turf may not have been ideal. Down at the 7f trip in a Class 6 with cheekpieces on for the first time, we might get to see the 4-year-old take a step forward.

6:25 Newcastle – Lucky Lodge – 1pt win @ 18/1

LUCKY LODGE always seems to throw in some good runs to ensure that the assessors don’t give him much of a chance but he’s down to a rating of 67 now and the last time he ran in a visor off a mark in the 60’s, he was beaten a nose. His most recent run wasn’t that great but he’s 5lbs better off with the favourite for today’s contest and is capable of better than the performance he produced then. With the switch in headgear and his rider’s claim removing a further 3lbs, he looks overpriced and worth a bet.
