Having developed an interest in racing whilst in college some years ago, James has worked in many areas of the industry, including a stint hiding his face on radio! From 2008 until 2017, he ran a successful tipping service and has had shares in numerous horses including the wonderful Fast Shot. Unsurprisingly given some of the horses he has bought shares in, his punting passions lie in sprint handicaps on both the turf and All-Weather surfaces!

20/1 & 14/1 winning Value Bets recently. View today’s selections below.

7:25 Wolverhampton – Canford Bay – 1pt win @ 13/2

CANFORD BAY boasts a solid strike-rate for a sprint handicapper with 6 wins from 37 starts and could pop up again now that he has returned to the same mark as when victorious at Chester in May. Recent signs have been promising as well, with his latest start at Newcastle being a positive one when you take into account the fact that he was drawn lowest of all in a race where those positioned much higher dominated. Coming back to a turning track will be no issue and the race should be run to suit.

7:55 Wolverhampton – Lucky Lodge – 1pt win @ 16/1

In a race lacking in many serious pace angles, LUCKY LODGE might go better than his odds suggest. I thought he ran well when we punted him at Newcastle last time out but the early gallop in that contest led to those who were more conservatively ridden coming out on top. This test is likely to be completely different and as a six-time course winner, the return to today’s venue is obviously no issue. Cam Hardie taking over in the saddle again can be viewed as another plus and I think they’ll go well.
