Having developed an interest in racing whilst in college some years ago, James has worked in many areas of the industry, including a stint hiding his face on radio! From 2008 until 2017, he ran a successful tipping service and has had shares in numerous horses including the wonderful Fast Shot. Unsurprisingly given some of the horses he has bought shares in, his punting passions lie in sprint handicaps on both the turf and All-Weather surfaces!

20/1 & 14/1 winning Value Bets recently. View today’s selections below.

4:00 Newbury – Scorched Breath – 1pt win @ 14/1

It could be worth taking a chance on SCORCHED BREATH to make a successful turf debut after five outings on the All-Weather. Judge him solely on his run at Kempton ten days ago and he has got no chance, but that was his first outing for 195 days and the race wasn’t run to suit. All of his other runs had glimmers of promise and off joint-bottom weight on testing ground, improvement may be set to come out. I’ll be keeping an eye on him for a few runs anyway as I think there’s ability in the locker.

4:35 Newbury – Teruntum Star – 1pt @ 12/1

TERUNTUM STAR is much more exposed but ran a race of promise at Catterick on Saturday, keeping on down the middle of the track for fifth place when those who beat him were hard against the rail and drawn between stalls 1 & 4. He emerged from 12, failed to get his optimal racing position near the front and found it all happening too quickly, but now steps up to 6f and is below each of his last four winning handicap marks. With conditions less of a problem to him than most, 12/1 looks very fair.
