Matt first went racing in February 1982 at just 3 months old. Attracted to the sport by Desert Orchid in the late 80's, a media degree started a path to horse racing journalism. Owner of many horses and greyhounds through the years, the latter has led to the formation of the myracing greyhound syndicate, a Greyhound Writers Association membership as well as appearances on Racing Post Greyhound TV.

Tote Scoop 6 Tips
- 1.50 – Theotherside has only had five starts in her life, generally progressive, she produced a career-best last time. That looked a solid contest for the grade and she can continue her improvement.
- 2.25 – Shelir has kept warm company of late, twice running huge races in hugely competitive handicaps over seven furlongs here. He is slipping to a tempting mark and this is a softer contest.
- 3.00 – Australis could be hard to beat here. He has a progressive profile, enjoys fast turf and his trainer and jockey are forming a decent partnership of late.
- 3.35 – Caradoc has shaped as if he’s worth another try over this trip. The ground will have been slow enough for him last time, this surface looks more suitable.
- 4.10 – Grand Bazaar gets the nod over Wise Glory on a line through Spectrum Of Light. Perhaps that horse had excuses behind the selection, not running as well as he had prior but that’s the best form on good to firm ground in the field.
- 4.45 – Princess Power appreciated the step back down to this trip at Sandown last time out. She was competitive from higher marks last season so has some headroom off this mark.
