Thursday Night All-Weather Pointers! + Huge 1733/1 Each-Way Double!

Wolverhampton Racecourse

We’re treated to a night of All-Weather action on Thursday, with Chelmsford and Wolverhampton playing host to the evening action. Although it’s not the highest grade of competition, there are plenty of ways into the action and we’ve got four pointers to help you go to war with the bookies! All our tips and analysis for the day’s action can be found on site now.

First Time Headgear

Although she’s been completely overlooked in the market, Maisie Ellie is an interesting runner in the Wolverhampton opener. She has gone backward since going handicapping, but she has the cheekpieces added for today’s assignment and she’s the only runner for Paul George on Thursday at the venue, making the 168-mile trip, which also makes her the longest traveller in the race.

She wouldn’t need to improve a huge amount for the cheekpieces to be winning this contest, so she’s certainly not one to completely dismiss at huge odds.

All-Weather Maestro

Winning five of her nine All-Weather starts, Made Of Honour is also a course and distance winner. She wasn’t disgraced on her debut for this yard over course and distance when a slow start cost her all chance of getting involved. She’s only two pounds above her last winning mark and she should get a good pace to aim at in this contest. She’s at huge odds, which does seem unfair given her overall record, and she’s more than capable of getting involved.

Top Trainer

Saeed bin Suroor has sent 174 horses to Chelmsford in the past five years and a staggering 53 have returned to the winner’s enclosure, with that equating to a 30% strike-rate. He saddles a pair of horses on Thursday, with those being the twice-raced pair of Tadreej and South Coast, who both look to have excellent chances.

Course And Distance Form

The only runner in the field with a course and distance victory to their name, Michael Bell will be hoping a return to Chelmsford can help revive dual course winner Balladeer. He’s been very inconsistent of late, but he’s currently only a pound above his last winning mark, which he gained on his last visit to Chelmsford. Hayley Turner takes over (onboard for both his victories), and he’s one to watch at a tempting price.
