Training out of Westoning, Mike Murphy has enjoyed a great start to 2021. Sending a pair of runners to Wolverhampton this year, they’ve both found their way to the winner’s enclosure! At odds of 9/2 and 12/1, the price has certainly been right too.

Murphy has a 15% strike-rate from 188 runners on the All-Weather with his older horses in the last five seasons, which further aids the claim of his sole runner at Wolverhampton on Monday!

Dynamite Doyle

Making her debut as a four-year-old, STRAWBS quickly made up for lost time on debut at Chelmsford last month. Sent off an 18/1 shot, she was unfancied in the market and lost several lengths at the start after being slowly away.

Ridden by an exceptional Hollie Doyle, who rides her again on Monday, she quickly latched onto the field and tanked into the contest. Last off the home turn, she showcased a smart turn of foot to grab the leaders in the dying strides.

That was a very pleasing introduction and although the race wasn’t the strongest, you’d have to be very happy with the way she picked up in the straight. As a result of that victory, she’ll have to carry a massive weight of 10st 6lb, conceding over a stone to her rivals.

She’s completely unexposed, however, and is open to any amount of progress for her connections. This is another modest looking novice contest and she should be in the thick of the action with natural improvement.
