Saturday TV Stats – 75/1 Cracker Acca!

Trends Analysis: Saturday 28th Sept 2019

The ITV cameras are at both Newmarket and Haydock (abandoned) this Saturday to take in six races across the two venues, with the bet365 Cambridgeshire Handicap at HQ the big betting race of the day. Did you know thirteen of the last seventeen Cambridgeshire winners were aged between four and six, plus also came from a double-figure stall.

On a typically busy day we’ve also afternoon supporting cards from Ripon, Chester and Market Rasen, while Chelmsford provides the evening racing.

We’ll be highlighting our TOP THREE trends to look for from the ITV Racing and putting them in a big-priced ‘Cracker Acca’ – plus, giving you the ‘best of the rest’ trends from around the other tracks this Saturday.

Plus – don’t forget, you can also get more help finding the winner for all this Saturday’s races on our Free Horse Racing Tips page.

TV Stats ‘75/1 Cracker Acca’
(Pays £375 for a £5 stake)

2.45 Chester: With a stonking 60% record (3-from-5) with their two-year-olds at the track then it’s hard to ignore the William Haggas-trained ST IVES. This juvenile has already had plenty of experience with six career runs (one win), while draw three is a further plus. The addition of first-time cheekpieces could also eke out a bit more improvement, while the jockey (Liam Jones), that rode him to his sole career win, is back in the saddle.

3.35 Ripon: Several familiar faces on show here but the 2017 winner of this race – FLYING PURSUIT – catches the eye. This Tim Easterby-trained six-year-old is rated a massive 11lbs lower than when landing this prize a few years ago and won’t mind any cut in the ground. A recent fifth in the Ayr Silver Cup was also a decent sign that he’s returning to form.

6.20 Chelmsford: A nice pot up for grabs here and the John Gosden runner – STAR OF BENGAL – looks to have a great chance of going home with it. This proven course and distance winner has been running in much better races than so the drop into handicap company makes him a big player. He’s two-from-two on the all-weather surfaces, while the Gosden team boast a stonking 50% (7-from-14) record with this age group at the track.
