Saturday TV Stats – 320/1 Cracker Acca!

Plenty to get stuck into again this Saturday with the ITV cameras heading to Newmarket and York to take in seven races across the two venues.

At Newmarket, we’ve four contests that include the Group One Darley Dewhurst Stakes (3:30) – a price the powerful Aidan O’Brien yard have won six times. We’ve also got the ultra-competitive Emirates Cesarewitch Handicap (4.10) to unravel, but we are on-hand with the key big-race trends to whittle down the runners.

Up at York, there are three more LIVE ITV races that include the coral.co.uk Rockingham Stakes, plus the Coral Sprint Trophy – did you know, twelve of the last sixteen winners were aged five or younger?

The supporting cards come from Chepstow, Hexham and Wolverhampton.

We’ll be highlighting our TOP FOUR trends to look for from the ITV Racing and putting them in a big-priced ‘Cracker Acca’ – plus, giving you the ‘best of the rest’ trends from around the other tracks this Saturday.

Plus – don’t forget, you can also get more help finding the winner for all this Saturday’s races on our Free Horse Racing Tips page.

TV Stats ‘320/1 Cracker Acca’
(Pays £1,600 for a £5 stake)

2.10 Chepstow: A certain amount of trust has to be applied here as we’ve several unraced hurdlers on show. However, with the powerfull Paul Nicholls yard having won this race a staggering five times since 2010 then their SIR PSYCHO looks worth risking. This three-year-old showed a fair level of form on the level in Ireland and that proven flat speed will be a big asset if his jumping holds up.

2.20 Newmarket: Not a bad renewal of this Group Three, but having won the last two runnings then the Aidan O’Brien-trained MYTHICAL catches the eye. This juvenile got off the mark at the second attempt last time at Gowran Park with an impressive eight and a half length victory. That came with a bit of cut in the ground too so any more rain will be fine, while breeding suggests the step up to 1m2f here looks a further plus.

2.40 York: The Listed coral.co.uk Rockingham Stakes has been won three times in the last seven years by the Tim Easterby yard, including last year, and the look to have another big chance this season. They run the unbeaten LAMPANG, who has gone into many notebooks after easy wins at Carlisle and Ripon. The last of those successes was an easy five length win on good-to-soft ground so conditions here look ideal. He can continue his upward curve and the good run of his yard in this race.

3.50 York: We’ve twenty-two runners here for the Coral Sprint Trophy Handicap so an ultra-competitive contest to unravel. However, the horse that looks worth taking a chance on is the Kevin Ryan-trained HEY JONESY. This four-year-old wasn’t beaten far in the Ayr Gold Cup last time but the key to his chance looks to be the return to York. His record here reads an impressive 1-3-2-5, from just four runs, while is also starting to look well-handicapped off a mark of 101. Oh, add in that his trainer – Kevin Ryan – has won the last two runnings of this race, then that is an added plus.
