Saturday TV Stats – 275/1 Cracker Acca!

Thomas Darby wins at Cheltenham

Trends Analysis: Saturday 26th Oct 2019

What was looking like a day that had something for everyone, we’ve lost the flat cards at Newbury and Doncaster due to the weather, so that just leaves us with action at Cheltenham over the jumps, plus Kelso also race over the sticks.

Chelmsford will then take over the reins with an evening all weather fixture.

We’ll be highlighting our TOP FOUR trends to look for from the ITV Racing and putting them in a big-priced ‘Cracker Acca’ – plus, giving you the ‘best of the rest’ trends from around the other tracks this Saturday.

Plus – don’t forget, you can also get more help finding the winner for all this Saturday’s races on our Free Horse Racing Tips page.

1.15 Kelso: Jockey Brian Hughes has won this race three times in the last six years and he looks to have a great chance of doing so again with the Donald McCain-trained POGUE. The six-year-old ran well (second) at the track last season and with only three career runs in total should have more to offer this term.

3.00 Kelso: The interesting one here is the Kim Bailey-trained DANDY DAN. This six-year-old took this race last year and looks a fast-improving staying chaser. He’s gone well off a break in the past so the 196-day absence isn’t a concern and the yard have been having a few winners of late too.

5.30 Cheltenham: Not an easy race to end with, as we’ve got a lot of unknowns and unraced horses. However, with the Fergal O’Brien team, who also had two winners at this meeting on Friday, having won the last two runnings of the race, then it might be worth chancing their debutant BUTTE MONTANA.

7.30 Chelmsford: With a decent 35% record with their three-year-olds at the course, the Roger Charlton yard should always be respected here. They run the three-year-old MIDPORT, and in what doesn’t look the best of contests can be expected to be involved. The step up in trip, for this lightly-raced gelding, looks a good move and jockey Thomas Greatrex helps by taking off a handy 5lbs from the saddle. Add that to the 4lbs the horse was dropped by the handicapper, then he’s 9lbs better off this time.
