Saturday Trends (2nd March 2019)

Mister Fisher wins the Supreme Trial Rossington Main Novice Hurdle at Haydock

With the Cheltenham Festival now in touching distance, the quality of the weekend action always takes a dip at this time of year with trainers saving their star names for Prestbury Park in just over a week.

Having said that, there’s still plenty to get stuck into and with the trends and stats throwing up a lot of winners last weekend then it’s still worth taking a look.

We’ve jumping cards from Newbury, Doncaster and Kelso, while the all weather action comes from Lingfield and Chelmsford. The ITV cameras will be taking in seven races across three of the afternoon venues – Newbury, Doncaster and Kelso – with the Greatwood Gold Cup, from Newbury, one of the days feature contests – a race that the powerful Paul Nicholls yard has won a staggering six times in the last nine runnings.

As always, to help you through the cards we’ve picked some quickfire standout stats and trends that are certainly worth paying attention too.

Plus, you can get more help finding the winner for all this Saturday’s races on our Racing Tips page.
